(as the shark casts a shadow when it floats on the water surface)
oil on canvas
With its uniqueness, SHADOW will grab your attention and will be a strong focal point for your home or office. Although its colors are subdued, it stands out from animal paintings with its unusual theme and dynamics.
Get to the borders
SHADOW was born in what I call myself: the year that was a shadow of itself. The pandemic period has worn many of us, taken us to our own borders. I, too, had to face my anger and my fears lurking in the depths of anger. This confrontation took the form of a shark: the animal symbolically raw and powerfully symbolizes all that suddenly emerges from the depths and casts a huge shadow.
The birth of the image
The painting of the shark coincided with the transformation of an important adult friendship, I had to re-draw lines of force, demarcating my boundaries. While painting, the shark took on its final form by peeling off all the hypocritical disguises from it and showing its true reality. I didn't want to look beautiful anymore, but real.
If we bring it from the shadows to the light and look at our fears up close, they don’t even seem so scary anymore. The shadow brings the courage of your face into your home.
