There is such a thing when you plan something and it doesn’t turn out that way. You've experienced it before, haven't you? It goes through a lot of changes before it takes on its final form, by which time all the soft parts become ossified. Like the fontanelle on the baby's head. The abstract forms of BONES are symbols of such a boundary of development: its arrival after change.
The magic of not-so-turning-out-that_way
I often have a fairly accurate idea of a process, but life almost always overwrites it. If I allow this, the end result is better than the original idea. Arrival will suddenly arrive. Even if it may not be clear at first.
The birth of the image
This is exactly what happened with piece nr. 3 of the abstract series. Originally, the shape lived in a completely different way in my head, I saw the smaller bone much less characteristic with my inner eye, yet at the end it asked for definite outlines for itself. The larger form became fuller, fuller than I imagined, you can almost feeling its smooth feel and weight in your hands.
There are a thousand kinds of black. It can be velvety, deep, sweet, prickly - a mystery that captures all colors. The black of the BONES is not completely solid, and it is the fleeting transience of the color that fills them with life.
Changes and arrivals are articulating our lives. BONES speaks of the moment of arrival because it has to arrive from time to time. Come home to this picture, come home to yourself!
